Specialist Commercial Insurance Brokers

About Capital Corporate Risks

Capital Corporate Risks Ltd is a specialist commercial insurance brokerage based in Dartford, Kent, working with businesses in the sectors most brokers find difficult — construction, demolition, civil engineering and groundworks, scaffolding, roofing, haulage, logistics, and waste and recycling.

We are more than a broker; we are a long-term risk management partner. Standard commercial insurance is built for standard businesses, but high-hazard trades need cover that reflects how they actually operate. That is what we arrange, and — crucially — what we stand behind. Specialist cover, properly placed, and actively supported when it matters most.

About Capital Corporate Risks

Built on specialist knowledge, refined by experience.

Capital Corporate Risks was founded on a deliberate decision: to concentrate only on complex, high-risk sectors rather than chase volume in commoditised commercial insurance. The wider market has consolidated heavily in recent years, with large intermediaries absorbing regional brokers and standardising service around the risks that are easiest to place. That has left a service gap for businesses whose exposures — asbestos, unrestricted height and depth, hazardous goods, environmental liability — do not fit a template. We exist to fill it. The result is a brokerage that blends traditional values with modern insurance solutions, and a genuinely personalised insurance service for businesses that are used to being treated as an awkward risk rather than a valued client.

Many brokers sell policies. We deliver service.

Placing a policy is the easy part. The value of a specialist broker shows at renewal, when your business has changed, and at claim stage, when the wording is finally tested. Too many brokers arrange cover and then disappear until the next invoice. We do the opposite. Every client has a direct line to people who already understand their operation, and a named Claims Manager who handles incidents personally rather than passing you to a call centre. This is the core of our proposition: specialist cover, properly placed, and backed by active insurance claims support throughout the life of the policy — not just on the day it is sold.

Ten steps that define how we work

Our client journey is not a marketing diagram. It is how we run every account, from the first meeting through to handling claims on policies that have long since expired.

  1. Initial Meeting

We understand your business, operations, contracts and the risks you actually carry.

  2. Review of Current Arrangements

We examine your existing cover and identify the gaps that matter.

  3. Introduction to Capital Corporate Risks

We make sure you are comfortable with who you are buying from.

  4. Market Approach Discussion

We agree how your business will be represented to the insurer market.

  5. Pre-Market Presentation

We share the presentation so you see exactly how you are positioned.

  6. Market Communication

We keep you informed at every stage as we negotiate with insurers.

  7. Cover Placement and Policy Presentation

We place your cover and explain every term and exclusion.

  8. Quarterly Contact

We check in through the year to capture changes before they become problems.

  9. Quarterly Claims Reviews

We monitor open claims to protect your record and premium.

  10. Legacy Claims Handling

We take on expired policies to manage outstanding claims that can still affect you.

Real people accountable for your cover

You deal with the same people from quote to claim. The business is led by directors Darren Judd, Rory Boylan and David Park, who between them have placed some of the most complex risks in construction, demolition, haulage and waste. Dan Coleman, our Operations Director, makes sure delivery is as rigorous as the advice. Account Manager Rachel Todd looks after ongoing client relationships, and our dedicated Claims Management Team, is who fights your corner when a claim is made. You can read more about each of them on our team page.

Recognised, regulated and accredited

Our standards are externally verified. Capital Corporate Risks has been recognised as New Broker of the Year, is an Aviva 110 Broker, and holds membership of the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA).
